A coffee table as a form study in materiality and transparency: Thibault Van Hoorebeke’s sculpture is a coffee table, bar, and library all at once. Even when empty, the object has its allure. It spontaneously reminds the viewer of a scale model of a modernist pavilion à la Mies van der Rohe.
